Case Study 1
Global Eloquence

Background
Global eloquence is a person centred learning and development organisation. Its primary function is to help people, your people, unlock their motivation, confidence and talent; acting as a catalyst for influencing behavioural change. Their approach empowers individuals and teams to focus on their goals and put strategies in place to address development areas, so they can perform better. A more dynamic, functional workplace and greater fulfilment within the workplace leads to a healthier and more sustainable workforce. Ultimately, this increases the bottom line.
Challenges
It was clear from the outset that Global Eloquence was a pioneering company. It had great potential and a unique approach to learning and development. The initial NBC analysis, around product innovation, showed the measurable results should be offered as part of the product. This data could be used to justify the client investment required in terms of real-world returns in profit, making a compelling commercial offer. The next step was a "go-to-market" analysis, creating a cohesive product definition to explain what the benefits were, followed by lead generation from marketing effort which would expand the client portfolio and revenue.

Solution
NBC was able to provide the necessary market positioning and marketing communications plan to establish what the value was in the offering, and the unique opportunity that working with GE presented. Also, using its Innovation Management experience, NBC was able to advise on the legal protections required by GE in order to exploit its intellectual property. This resulted in several substantial licencing deals for GE from multiple clients.

Working with Bradley Honnor, the Managing Director at GE, we identified that the Learning and Development Program needed to be packaged and productised, in a way that commercial stakeholders in prospective client companies could understand. They could then identify the value, the measurable results, and the net gain made by their company.

Outcome
Each piece of the modular package was put into place as GE developed its client offerings and within a few months, the first new contracts were won. The process of a steady and controlled expansion of revenue and profitability had begun.
Within two years GE had doubled its revenue and within a further two years this had doubled again, with public sector contract wins and contention for prestigious industry awards. GE scooped multiple wins in the CIPD Awards 2024; Best Learning and Development Program - Winner; Best Talent Managment Program - Winner.
Also Personnel Today Awards 2024; Best Learning and Development Program - Winner.

“During our initial consultation with NBC, all of our frustrations came out. We knew we were onto something significant, even ground-breaking in our industry, but we just needed to find a way through. We worked with NBC over the next few months to develop and agree a plan, a map if you like, of how we were going to get to our destination. All that negative energy was channelled into “getting it done” and we charged forwards. The result is we have built a fantastic, award winning business”.
